GIFBERG 4x4

VANRHYNSDORP

22 – 25 September 2017

GIFBERG HOLIDAY FARM AND 4X4 TRAIL,

Gifberg Holiday Farm

Gifberg Holiday Farm is situated 29km from VanRhynsdorp off the N7, just as you hit the ‘knersvlakte’. Jansu and Maureen Huisamen welcomes you to this little piece of paradise on top of Gifberg where you can come search for bushmen paintings and extraordinary rock formations on one of four hiking trails. Or just relax with a cup of coffee at the Oppi-Dek Coffee shop. The drive up the mountain provides some spectacular views and it is well worth making sure you reach it in daylight.

Gifberg 4x4 trail

The 4×4 route on Gifberg offers a little bit of everything: rocks, sand, some ups and some downs and requires a little bit of skill. The 11km route takes you down to the Doring River where we will aim to have lunch. The same route takes us back to camp although the different angle providing a whole new perspective on the scenery.

29 MHz TWO WAY RADIOS

Communication between participating vehicles on any 4x4 excursion is important for many reasons. It ensures the safety of drivers, passengers and vehicles while on a 4x4 trail, where drivers can communicate with one another as regards to their location and situation, not to mention the interesting information that is shared with participants. The fun part is the many interesting stories that are shared among participants.

We suggest all 4x4 vehicles that don’t have a 29MHz two-way radio, HIRE one from us at a nominal fee of R200-00 for this excursion.
