A SPECIAL AND UNIQUE DESTINATION IN THE SANDVELD
13 – 15 JULY 2018
GOOD COMBINATION OF SAND & MOUNTAIN DRIVING
The Jakkalskloof 4x4 Trail, situated in the Sandveld on the West Coast, in close proximity to the small town of Redelinghuys, has top class facilities at the camp and offers visitors a variety of obstacles on the trail. This is definitely one of the more exciting trails in the Western Cape, offering a good combination of mountain and sand driving, where drivers’ negotiation skills will be tested. Cederberg 4x4’s previous visit to this 4x4 trail was more than 3 years ago and therefore worth the long overdue visit.
The trail consists of two sections. The first section of the Jakkalskloof 4x4 trail, to be driven on Saturday, consists mainly of sand in a riverbed, offering a variety of challenges to participants and ensuring great excitement for all. As sand driving is always very popular, this section of the Jakkalskloof 4x4 will be the highlight for sand driving lovers. The second section of the trail consists mainly of tracks in the mountains with a variety of challenges and technical driving sections. The guidance through some of these obstacles by your co-driver or guide will be an advantage. Peace of mind can be enjoyed by all drivers in regard to the safety of vehicles and passengers due to the many options of bypasses at some of the more difficult obstacles, reducing possible vehicle damage to a minimum. Further reassurance with regard to safety will be enjoyed being surrounded by like-mined people while enjoying the benefits of an experienced guide sharing many helpful driving hints and tips regarding obstacle negotiating, safety when recovering stuck vehicles and environmentally friendly habits.
The camp offers top class ablutions facilities, a Lapa for social get-togethers and a swimming pool that is always very popular, especially during the warm summer months. Very few of the trails we visit, throughout the country, offer this type of top class facilities at their campsites. Spoil yourselves in more ways than one and join other enthusiasts on this weekend in the Sandveld, where you will take home many highlights experienced and share them with your friends and family on your return.
