SET CAMP IN LUXURY AT BOEGOEBERG 4X4 CAMP
Cederberg 4x4 will once again be doing an All-Exclusive Ladies Getaway to two of the most popular 4x4 destinations in the Western Cape namely Boegoeberg 4x4 in the western Cederberg and the ever popular The Dunes 4x4 trail near Lamberts Bay. Base camp for the weekend will be made at Boegoeberg 4x4, regularly rated in the Top 10 4x4 destinations in the country. The camp is set around a dam with an amazing sandstone swimming pool, enough trees for shade and grass underfoot. Electrical power/water points are found throughout the camp as well as top class ablution facility always supplying warm water. Invite your fellow ladies’ friends making up a team to enjoy another All-Exclusive Ladies Getaway.
The Boegoeberg 4x4 Trail
This year we will only be driving the short route of the Boegoeberg 4x4 trail which include a scenic rocky mountain section ending with a challenging sand section ensuring many highlights and personal challenges among the vehicles. Here there will be individual prizes awarded by Cederberg 4x4 to drivers for technique and perseverance on the sand section of the Boegoeberg 4x4 trail. Team support will help the driver winning a prize for the team.
The Dunes 4x4 trail
The Dunes 4x4 trail only 10km in distance, situated in a naturally formed dune area of approx. 350 hectares, does not grow or move as many other dune areas have the tendency to do. The dunes situated only 10km outside of Lamberts Bay are unique to this area and offer the participants various forms of driving challenges without any major impact on the environment. Under the ever-watchful eye of Jan the owner and your seasoned Cederberg 4x4 guide, you will have the opportunity to experiment with your vehicle by using different gear selections and getting to know your vehicle, all while trying to concur those seemingly impossible dunes of early morning. Some of the key factors in getting over the dunes involve power, momentum and tyre pressure. As your technique and confidence grow, those seemingly impossible dunes of the early morning don’t look all that daunting as the day continues.

Vehicles: Only vehicles WITH LOW RANGE capabilities can be accommodated.
Trailers: Off-road trailers/caravans CAN be accommodated on this excursion.
Grading: Trail grading is between 2 - 3.

RENDEZVOUS
PLACE: ENGEN WEST COAST 1-STOP on the R27 at the Langebaan turn-off.
DATE: THURSDAY 1 OCTOBER 2026.
TIME: 09h00 SHARP. Please respect your fellow participants and be on time.
THURSDAY 1 OCTOBER 2026
09h00 – ENGEN WEST COAST 1-STOP on the R27 at the Langebaan turn-off.
- Briefing on day activities, convoy driving and sponsors formalities.
- Depart in convoy to Boegoeberg 4x4 via off-the-beaten track roads where we will set camp for three nights.
- Arrive and set camp. Enjoy all amenities the camp has to offer and let your hair down.
19h00 - Communal evening fire where a pasta dinner will be served.
FRIDAY 2 OCTOBER 2026
- Breakfast at the camp.
- Depart for The Dunes 4x4 trail close to Lamberts Bay.
- Arrive at The Dunes 4x4 trail and deflate tyres.
- Briefing on sand/dune driving as well as sharing many hints and tips.
- Drive and enjoy The Dunes 4x4 trail. Great fun to be had by all.
- Complete the trail.
- Optional enjoy a light lunch at Issabellas Restaurant in the harbour.
19h00 - Communal evening braai.
SATURDAY 3 OCTOBER 2026
07h00 - Breakfast at the camp.
09h00 - Depart on the sandy circular section of the Boegoeberg 4x4 trail.
- Enjoy a light self-catering picnic lunch.
- Complete the trail. Return to the camp and relax while enjoying all the facilities on offer.
19h00 - Communal evening self-catering braai where all the Cederberg 4x4 formalities will take place.
SUNDAY 4 OCTOBER 2026
07h00 – Breakfast at the camp and break camp.
09h00 - Depart for home at your own time via one of the many optional routes.
TEAM SPIRIT/INTRO
A TEAM consists of all the ladies in ONE vehicle.
Each team must have a TEAM NAME, to be displayed on your vehicle.
The team introduction, by means of song, dance, clothing etc, will take place Thursday, 1 October 2026.
This team introduction is great fun and ensures lots of laughter.
SPONSORS
Numerous sponsors will donate gifts for the lucky draw and prize giving will take place the Saturday evening. We thank all our sponsors for their participation in this regard.
DRIVING EXPERIENCE
As this “Exclusive Ladies 4x4 Getaway” is offered as a guided excursion, led by a seasoned guide, giving pre-trip briefings as well as en-route tuition and advice, no 4x4 experience is required. Peace of mind can be given to all participants on this excursion to the safety of vehicles and passengers.
CATERING
Everyone must be totally self-sufficient for all meals for the duration of this Getaway.
ACCOMMODATION
As this excursion is offered as a camping excursion, everyone must be equipped accordingly.
OPTIONAL ACCOMMODATION
2 x Rooms each with double bed and single bed (three sleeper) – See cost below.
2 x Rooms each with double bed and a bunk bed (four sleeper) – See cost below.
NB. Minimum of 2 x ladies per room.
ABLUTION FACILITIES
The camp offers upmarket ablution facilities. Nothing more can be said about the facilities but for you to come and experience it for yourself. Something very different.
GENERAL
• WATER - is available at the campsite.
• DRINKING WATER - Always advisable to bring own drinking water on excursions.
• Electricity is available in the camp.
• WOOD – Wood can be purchased at the camp.
• Garbage – Garbage bins are available in the camp
• The communal braai area will be used. (Only one fire permitted)
• Remember braai grid and braai stand.
• The days could be warm and the night’s cold. Pack clothing accordingly.
• Always advisable to wear comfortable closed boots or shoes.
• Use tie-down straps to secure all items packed as loose items can become missiles in the event of an accident.
VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
• All vehicles must be in sound mechanical condition.
• Bring your spare keys along.
• Recovery points fitted to the front and rear on your vehicle are prerequisite.
• Your own Kinetic/recovery strap will be advisable.
• Tyre pump and pressure gauge will be required to deflate/inflate tyres. Pack where accessible.
• All other recovery equipment will be supplied.
FUEL STOPS EN-ROUTE
Sufficient fuel stop will be made en-route, eliminating the necessity of carrying additional fuel. Ensure your vehicle is refuelled prior to the briefing at the rendezvous.
29 MHz RADIOS
It is a prerequisite that all participating vehicles have a 29MHz radio fitted for communications on the trip. Communication between participating vehicles is very important for many reasons. It ensures the safety of drivers, passengers and vehicles where the guide and drivers can communicate with one another sharing important information. All participating vehicles that do not have a 29mHz radio fitted are required to hire a 29MHz radio from Cederberg 4x4. See cost below. Should you be hiring a 29MHz radio, please ensure that your lighter socket is working.
COST
-R2000-00 per lady camping. A 50% deposit is required when booking. See below.
-R2500-00 per lady in room sharing. A 50% deposit is required when booking. See below.
-R400-00 Radio hire should your vehicle not be fitted with a 29MHz two-way radio.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS

• Cederberg 4x4 can only accommodate a maximum of 12 vehicles or 40 ladies on this trip.
• All bookings work on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Cederberg 4x4 will only confirm your booking upon receipt of your completed and signed booking form together with your POP (proof of payment) of a 50% deposit of R1000-00.
• Cederberg 4x4 requires your POP (proof of payment) for the total outstanding amount for the trip and two-way radio hire if applicable on or before Friday 18 September 2026.
• Contact the Cederberg 4x4 for alternative payment arrangements.
• Your completed and signed booking form binds you to all conditions on page one and two.
• Should you wish to cancel or withdraw from the trip after Cederberg 4x4 received your completed and signed booking form and POP, you will be required to find a replacement to take your place before any refund or credit will be considered
• Should you not arrive at the rendezvous or choose to leave the trip before it officially ends, you will not be entitled to any refund or credit.
